About Claire O'Neill
Co-Founder of A Greener Festival (AGF), Creative Producer, Agent & Aerialist for Arcadia Spectacular, and Event Producer and Programmer of Green Events & Innovations Conference (GEI).
Internationally recognised and consulted in the field of event sustainability, Claire produced a pioneering research project in 2006 that led to the formation of AGF. The organisation has since assessed over 450 festivals worldwide on their environmental management through The Greener Festival Award, trained over 80 assessors and sustainability managers in the last 2 years, and founded the annual Green Events & Innovations Conference, which sold out its tenth year in London in March 2018 in partnership with the International Live Music Conference (ILMC).
At Arcadia Spectacular, Claire is responsible for future developments and partnerships, as well as existing show production and touring, including the incredible “Metamorphosis” show as seen at Glastonbury Festival in front of crowds up to 50,000 people. These shows have toured the world, reaching shores from Taiwan, Australia, US, and Croatia to name but a few. Additionally, Claire advises the organisation on sustainability for both Arcadia’s touring and in-house festival production.
Claire formerly worked for London record labels in Licensing and New Media Management, and 6 years as General Manager of the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), plus a wide range of festivals and events in various management and co-ordination roles since 2003.
As an aerial circus artist, Claire performs with the globally touring Arcadia Spectacular, as well as various TV, theatre, corporate and alternative shows. Claire performed as Mary Poppins in the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and has taught aerial performance skills at circus schools internationally.
