A Falling Out with Food

About Nathalie Christmann-Cooper

An award winning web designer, Nathalie co-founded TreatOut in September 2015. She was part of Google Campus London''s startup programme for Mums and Dads in October 2015, and TreatOut was one of 60 selected startups competing at the Seeds & Chips Global Food Tech summit in Milan this May. Nathalie''s an active role model for Women in Tech, being featured in Forbes and The Guardian. She was shortlisted for the WeAreTheCity Rising Stars 2016 Entrepreneur category.

Diagnosed with EDS in 2013, Nathalie’s stomach became her enemy. Their relationship needs constant working at, but they’ve learnt to become friends again. Although food has stopped liking Nathalie, she''s never stopped loving food. She knows she’s not alone in her quest to be a FreeFrom foodie. Nathalie''s determined to help restaurants provide menu data beyond the 14 allergens and build a solution to eating out for all diners with a restricted food list.

I'm your living nightmare diner you dread walking through your door. The one that asks to see the allergen menu and then reels off a list of foods not to eat. So why bother to eat out?

Hear how I’ve learnt to use food as medicine, and why menu transparency is important for all diners with a restricted food list. We might be FreeFrom but we're still foodies at heart.
